Ryann’s work is about intimacy — not just romantically, but emotionally, ideologically, and even a closeness to oneself. Her paintings suggest a world where the boundaries between the external and internal dissolve. Humans, animals, and symbolic elements intertwine to create a surreal landscape where emotions, relationships, and identities overlap.

"For this show, I've focused more on swathes of color rather than filling everything with subject matter. This approach has created tension, but it has also resulted in a sense of fullness on the canvas."
